ANFIIDE has represented and defended the nursing profession in France and internationally for a century. Run entirely by volunteer professionals, it brings together nurses from every field of practice — working, in training or retired.
Who we are
A professional association: general in scope, independent in voice
Founded in 1924 and recognised as a public-interest association in 1932, ANFIIDE is made up exclusively of volunteer nurses.
Every field of practice
Clinical care, research, education, management, private practice, hospital and social care settings: the association brings the whole profession together, whatever the sector.
A recognised voice
The first French nursing association to be recognised as serving the public interest, ANFIIDE is consulted by public institutions on the future of the profession and of care.
A century of commitment
Since its founding by Marie Léonie Chaptal, the association has taken part in every stage of the structuring of the nursing profession in France.
