About ANFIIDE
French National Association of Registered Nurses and Nursing Students — founded in 1924, recognised as a public-interest association in 1932.
ANFIIDE is a general professional association made up exclusively of volunteer nurses. Its members work across every field of the profession — clinical care, research, education, management — in private practice as well as in hospital and social care settings. It brings together practising professionals, nursing students and retired nurses.
Founded on 22 June 1924 as the Association nationale des infirmières diplômées de l'État français, it is the oldest French nursing association. It has been recognised as serving the public interest since 1932 — the first in the profession to be so.
