On 5 September 2019, the meeting 'Year III of health democracy: patients' return' took place. Brigitte Lecointre, then president of ANFIIDE, presented the healthcare professionals' perspective on the place of patients within the healthcare system.
Health democracy involves users in decisions concerning their health and the organisation of care. For ANFIIDE, nurses are key players in this: present daily alongside those receiving care, they listen to patients, inform them and support them in their choices.
