· Public access

ANFIIDE

ANFIIDE, ANPDE, CEFIEC, FNESI and UNAIBODE/SNIBO invite candidates in the presidential election on 10 March 2022 to present their programme on health and the nursing profession.

As the presidential election approaches on 10 and 24 April 2022, five organisations representing the nursing profession, its specialties, education and students invite candidates to speak out:

  • ANFIIDE, the French national association of qualified nurses and nursing students;
  • ANPDE, the French national association of qualified childcare nurses and students;
  • CEFIEC, the Coordinating Committee for Nursing and Management Education;
  • FNESI, the French national federation of nursing students;
  • UNAIBODE and SNIBO, which represent operating theatre nurses.

A health week

From 10 to 27 March 2022, candidates are invited to speak on health issues. The first day, Thursday 10 March, is dedicated to the nursing profession: each candidate presents their programme to the presidents of the organising associations from a television studio, with live streaming on the associations' YouTube channels.

Why this initiative

After two years of health crisis, health has become a major concern for French people. A survey by the FHF, FNESI and CEFIEC reveals that 96% of nursing students are proud of their future profession, but only a third have confidence in the future of the health system.

Essential players in managing the pandemic, both in hospitals and in the community, nurses want to be heard. The questions put to the candidates:

  • How can we develop a health system that is showing its limits in the face of the crisis?
  • What solutions are there to human resources difficulties?
  • How can we combat staff and training shortages?
  • How can we make health professions attractive again?

The future of the health system must be built with all its stakeholders, and first and foremost with those on the ground.
